Rate of Pay: $17.6 per hour

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitorial to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout our facility. This role is responsible for cleaning washrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and common areas. The successful candidate takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and contributes to maintaining a professional and safe workplace for all employees.
Your work will include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting station areas including entrances, concourses, platforms, and washrooms
- Sweeping, mopping, spot cleaning, and high-touch surface cleaning (doors, railings, elevator, faregates/TVMs)
- Replenishing and cleaning washroom supplies (toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap) and completing required checks/inspections.
- Prioritized work order completion and reporting to quality assurance.
- Reporting issues such as graffiti, damage, hazards, or cleanliness concerns as required, and then removing it on approval by the supervisor.
- Performing periodic deep-cleaning tasks (as assigned)
- Garbage collection and liner changing and interior and exterior litter pickup
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A great attitude and strong attention to detail
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) – mandatory
- Cleaning/janitorial experience is an asset (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Floor care experience is an asset (machine scrubbing and detailing)
- Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods in a public-facing environment
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Able to communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and the general public
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, pushing/pulling equipment)
