Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Curry Cook / Indian Kitchen Cook to join our team.
The ideal candidate has experience preparing Indian curries, gravies, sauces, rice, proteins, vegetables, and daily kitchen prep. You should be comfortable working in a busy restaurant kitchen while maintaining consistency, quality, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare Indian curries, gravies, sauces, and base preparations
- Cook menu items during service while maintaining quality and consistency
- Prepare proteins, vegetables, rice, lentils, marinades, and daily prep
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and restaurant standards
- Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for service
- Follow food safety, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team during prep, rushes, opening, and closing
Requirements
- Experience cooking Indian food in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of Indian curries, gravies, spices, and prep
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Clean, organized, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
