Cameron Steel Inc. is a custom machining and fabrication company seeking an experienced, safety-focused individual to support our manufacturing operations.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in overhead crane operation, rigging, forklift operation, machine setups, machining, millwright work, or heavy manufacturing.
Responsibilities
· Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and components throughout the facility
· Rig, lift, rotate, flip, and position components weighing up to 20 tons
· Load and unload materials, fabrications, and machined components
· Stage materials and production kits for machining, blasting, painting, and shipping
· Assist machinists with machine setups
· Position angle plates, fixtures, tooling, and workholding devices
· Assist in loading and aligning large components in CNC machine tools
· Maintain safe and efficient material flow throughout the shop
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience
· Strong forklift operating skills
· Experience operating overhead cranes
· Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
· Ability to work independently and safely
· Experience in a machine shop, fabrication shop, millwright role, or heavy manufacturing environment is preferred
