Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Support patients with meal preparation and feeding needs
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Support patients with specialized care needs such as dementia or hospice care
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, caregiving, and senior or disability support services
- Familiarity with dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic skills in meal preparation and medication administration are advantageous
