Job Posting: Freelance Fashion / Brand Photographer (1-Day Shoot)
We are looking for a skilled freelance photographer who can photograph for Instagram clothing brands for a one-time shoot located in Downtown Toronto. You will be responsible for bringing your own professional camera gear, lighting equipment, and handling final colour grading and editing for a combination of 1990s streetwear photography with modern outdoor editorial styling: gritty, grounded, and deliberately casual yet carefully lit.
Project Overview & Deliverables
- Location: Downtown Toronto (On-site)
- For: Instagram clothing brand shooting 1990s streetwear photography with modern outdoor editorial styling: gritty
- Scope: 1-day shoot producing ~10-15 final high-resolution images
- Required Formats: Landscape, 1:1 (Square), and 9:16 (Vertical/Socials) per final selected shot
Visual & Colour Grading Style The aesthetic requires a distinct film-inspired, editorial look. You must be able to match the following grading characteristics:
- Film Aesthetic & Grain: Slight analog texture with subtle direct-flash or harsh natural fill lighting to give a raw, vintage editorial feel.
- Tonal Palette: Muted highlights, lifted dark shadows, and warm, earthy tones (deep greens, vintage blues, soft sandy yellows).
- Color Balance: Desaturated undertones paired with pop contrast on wardrobe details, giving the images an effortless, nostalgic street-lifestyle aesthetic.
Requirements & Application
- Proven portfolio showing experience with street-wear, editorial fashion, and film-style colour grading.
- Full ownership of professional DSLR/Mirrorless equipment and portable lighting setups.
- Ability to deliver final color-graded, high-res photos within an agreed-upon deadline.
