Job Title: Experienced TIG Stainless Steel Welder / Fabricator
Position Summary
At Allied Industrial Dynamics we are seeking a skilled and experienced TIG Stainless Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding stainless steel components to high-quality standards while working from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent workmanship, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel materials of varying thicknesses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
- Fabricate stainless steel assemblies, structures, piping, and custom components according to project requirements.
- Measure, cut, fit, grind, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
- Conduct fit-up and layout work to ensure accurate dimensions and alignment.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, press brakes, and other shop tools.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met.
- Perform finishing work including grinding, polishing, and surface preparation as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable welding codes and standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of TIG welding experience, with a strong focus on stainless steel fabrication.
- Proven experience fabricating from raw materials through to finished products.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of stainless steel welding techniques, distortion control, and finishing requirements.
- Experience working with sheet metal, tubing, pipe, and structural stainless steel components.
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to perform high-quality sanitary, cosmetic, and structural welds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid welding certifications (CWB, ASME, AWS, or equivalent).
- Experience with food-grade, pharmaceutical, brewery, or sanitary stainless steel fabrication.
- Experience with orbital welding, purge welding, or thin-gauge stainless steel applications.
- Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging experience.
- Ability to mentor junior welders and apprentices.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime as required)

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
