Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, bartending, and kitchen activities to ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of servers, cooks, bartenders, and support staff through effective team management and coaching.
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and customer-focused team.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee food preparation to uphold quality standards.
- Enforce restaurant policies related to food safety, alcohol service (including bartending), and hospitality best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, labor costs, and operational reports to support business growth.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive food industry experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, serving, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order management and cash handling.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and hospitality practices.
- Experience in restaurant management roles within diverse settings such as hotels or bars is highly desirable.
- Prior bartending or barista experience is a plus for managing beverage service areas effectively.
