Role Overview:
The HR Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, assess, and hire qualified candidates. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience while supporting organizational hiring goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
· Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer coordination.
· Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and develop recruitment plans.
· Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and other channels.
· Maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
· Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
Candidate Management
· Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
· Communicate recruitment status updates in a timely and professional manner.
· Negotiate offers and support onboarding activities for new hires.
Administrative & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
· Prepare recruitment reports and track key hiring metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.
· Support background checks, reference verification, and employment documentation processes.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation or progress toward HR certification is considered an asset.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/ATS systems.
- Knowledge of employment standards and recruitment best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and meet hiring deadlines.
