ackenzie County is currently inviting applications for a General Maintenance Labourer seasonal position. The primary location for this position will be in Fort Vermilion, however the individuals may be required to work in other areas of the municipality as per operational requirements. This is a seasonal unionized position with a 40 hour work week (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Director of Utilities, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
M- anual labour;
A- ssist with maintenance and operation of water and sewer facilities;
M- anhole, hydrant and valve maintenance;
P- erform connections and disconnections to water services;
E- quipment maintenance and repairs;
I- nvestigate, read and repair water meters on a monthly basis;
O- ther duties as required.

equirements for this position are:
V- alid Class 5 drivers’ license;
M- oderate physical strength and stamina which includes heavy lifting, bending, twisting and squatting;
A- dequate verbal and written communication skills;
E- vidence of successfully passing a police Criminal Record Check;
P- reference will be given to university/college students.

age range: $21.49/hour – $24.04/hour
