Magest Building Systems is hiring! We are seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our Hollow Core division. Magest is locally owned and operated with strong ties to Stratford and surrounding communities. We are gearing up to grow the business and we want you to be part of that growth and success!
Responsibilities
·Operate overhead crane
Familiar with the use of various materials (wood, steel, plastic) to set up forms for concrete pour
· Tying reinforcing bars according to production drawing
· Experience with placing, vibrating and finishing concrete
· Operate various other equipment (tow motor, telelhandlers, etc)
· Assist in excavating and pouring of concrete bases
· Run small jobs with minimal to no supervision
Experience
· Overhead crane experience
· Experience with hand tools, power tools, compressed air tools
· Ability to read a measuring tape in both metric and imperial
· Capable of lifting approximately 50lbs
Previous experience working with concrete not necessary but nice to have
· Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
· Ability to work outdoors, in heat or cold
· Must have a good attendance record and be passionate about working in a safe manner
· Must be able to work well in a team environment
· Must be available for overtime, as required
· Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision at times
Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm
