This is a senior leadership position within the Learning Disabilities Association, and the
successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially within a
team environment that prioritizes consultation. The person will be responsible for
leading the recruitment, training and supervision of tutors across various programs. In
addition, the person will lead and support tutoring assistants and supervisors, all
working within a team environment to meet the needs of our diverse clients. As a part of
our senior leadership team, the candidate will support the organization, consulting and
informing various programs and initiatives.
The position requires a Bachelor of Education degree, strong familiarity with the Barton
Reading program, awareness of learning disabilities, and high familiarity with the
operation of our association. In addition, the person should display strong leadership
skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and with a calm, focused disposition that can
help ensure stability and support for the tutors.
Hours are flexible. Pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
