Eager Beaver Moving & Storage is looking for an experienced Driver / Crew Lead who understands what it takes to run residential moving jobs from start to finish. We're looking for someone who can lead a crew, deliver an outstanding customer experience, and represent our company professionally every day.
This is not a driving-only position.
Our Driver / Crew Leads work alongside their crews, lead the move from start to finish, protect customers' homes and belongings, communicate with customers throughout the day, and make good decisions when challenges arise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading residential moving crews
- Operating 3-ton and 5-ton moving trucks
- Completing customer walkthroughs
- Planning and loading trucks safely and efficiently
- Protecting furniture and customers' homes
- Supervising movers throughout the day
- Communicating with dispatch and customers
- Solving problems and keeping jobs on schedule
Commercial moving experience is an asset but is not required.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has Experience With
- Residential moving
- Furniture protection and padding
- Loading and unloading moving trucks
- Customer walkthroughs
- Crew leadership
- Professional customer service
- Working 8–12 hour days
- Running moves from start to finish
Requirements
- Previous moving company experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with furniture or appliance delivery experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Comfortable operating 3-ton and 5-ton moving trucks
- Clean driver's abstract
- Physically capable of full-day moving work
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and make good decisions on site
- Available Saturdays when scheduled
Assets
- Air Brake Endorsement
- Commercial moving experience
- Experience leading crews
- Experience training newer movers
Compensation
$25.00–$30.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
