Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage and update patient records with confidentiality and attention to detail
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Prepare medication labels and packaging according to pharmacy protocols
- Maintain inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper storage of medications
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
- Manage front store responsibilities such as inventory management, stocking, merchandising and customer assistance
- All other duties as assigned
Skills
- Previous pharmacy experience is required
- Experience with Kroll is required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on confidentiality
- Professional demeanor and courteous
