We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Punjabi Speaking Health Care Aide to join our dedicated caregiving team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support patient care by monitoring health status, recording vital signs, and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety during heavy lifting or repositioning
Skills
- Fluent in Punjabi with excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families
- Prior experience assisting in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, hospice care, or home care environments
- Knowledge of dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients with mobility
- Skilled in medication administration, meal preparation, and basic nursing tasks
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with excellent caregiving skills
