Matrix HR is currently seeking Carpenters (ticketed and non-ticketed) for a 2-week hospital construction project near Lethbridge, AB. This is a great opportunity for individuals with commercial construction experience looking for short-term, full-time work.
Location: Coalhurst, AB (meeting point)
Duration: 2-week project
Wage: $34.00/hour plus OT after 8 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Overtime: Paid after 8 hours per day
Responsibilities
- Steel stud framing
- Installing hardware, including supports for light fixtures and other building hardware
- Installing steel and wood construction materials
- Assisting with the construction and finishing of operating theatre areas
- Following site drawings and instructions
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Requirements
- Previous carpentry or commercial construction experience
- Experienced and capable apprentices are encouraged to apply – no journeyperson certification required
- Experience with steel stud framing is an asset
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Reliable transportation to the meeting location in Coalhurst
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well on a team
What We Offer
- $34.00/hour plus 1.5X OT after 8 hours daily
- 12 hours per day, regular overtime expected
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Full-time hours for the 2-week project
