Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food safety, food handling, and supporting the overall food service operations. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry and develop skills in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking by chopping, slicing, and measuring as directed by Chef
- Support cooking activities by assembling dishes and ensuring timely meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen work area, including counters, sinks, and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Assist with restocking supplies and organizing storage areas for efficiency
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times to ensure smooth operation and excellent food service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Basic understanding of cooking processes and meal preparation is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks related to dishwashing and prep work

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
