Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Delivery Driver for Ottawa, Gatineau and surrounding areas to join our team.
If you have experience as a Tow Truck Driver or Construction or Supplier Deliveries, this may be the position for you!
S&R’s Vehicle Fleet includes by not limited to:
- 1 Ton Truck (Primary Delivery Vehicle)
- Numerous Pick-up Trucks
- Trailers
- Service Vans
The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading pre-fabrication systems including materials, pipes, equipment, and fixtures. This position is responsible to load and off-load everything. Our Shop does have convenient equipment for heavy lifting, but some of the smaller items are loaded manually.
We do require someone with a clean Drivers Abstract who always operates in a safe manner, both on and off the road.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manually load and unload materials, including pre-fabrication items, pipes, equipment, and fixtures and tools.
- Transport materials to and from waste facilities, handling disposal of old equipment and materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Use mobile devices and inventory software to track deliveries and update schedules.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, vendors, and team members. We provide a safe hands-free mobile device set up in our vehicles.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with safety and quality care in transportation standards.
- Follow company procedures for proper handling and care of materials during transport.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving products and inventory management.
- Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Experience driving a 1-ton truck
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to manually lift and handle heavy materials.
- Warehouse experience is an asset
- Previous experience in the plumbing or construction industry is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and inventory software to manage deliveries and updates.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to load and unload materials manually.
- Must be open to being trained Forklift and overhead crane
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
