Dear Grain is seeking a Full-time Junior Pastry Chef with baking experience to join our bakery.We are looking for someone caring, passionate, and dynamic who is interested in committing themselves to the craft of making sourdough pastries.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately scale and prepare recipes for a wide range of baked goods—including batters, doughs, cookies, scones, loaves, and cakes—while strictly following company recipes and preparation guidelines

Mix, portion, and bake pastries according to production needs and established quality standards

Package wholesale orders efficiently and carefully to ensure quality and freshness

Support inventory management by restocking ingredients and monitoring supply levels

Collaborate with the Kitchen Leader and team members to maintain smooth daily operations

Assist colleagues as needed based on production priorities and workflow

Organize and prepare orders for timely distribution to wholesale partners

Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace, including dishwashing and equipment cleaning

Follow all quality control, and food safety protocols consistently

Follow all company policies, equipment's operations, sanitation and health standards, and food safety procedures and protocols.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment while supporting efficient bakery operations.
Schedule

Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (four 10-hour shifts per week)

Weekend availability may be required in the future

Qualifications· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high volume production kitchen/food business· Reliable, team-oriented, and hands-on approach to work· Highly dedicated professional with a strong work ethic· Willingness to take on challenges and support team goals· Possess basic cooking and knife handling skills· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform repetitive tasks· Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
