Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling according to client preferences
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Engage in upselling retail products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling transactions
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure a positive experience and build lasting relationships
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within the salon environment
Experience
- Previous experience in hair styling or cosmetology is preferred but not required for apprentices or those in journey-level training programs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of sanitation practices relevant to the beauty industry
- Ability to upsell retail products naturally while focusing on client needs
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants
