Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role is essential in delivering quality meals efficiently to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food service and the food industry.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely delivery
- Handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
- Support food service staff by ensuring timely preparation of orders during busy periods
- Follow all food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience with serving customers or working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
