We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment primarily excavators and skidsteers. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment for construction, excavation, and other related tasks. The Equipment Operator will work closely with team members to complete projects safely and effectively.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment to perform tasks including excavation, landscaping, grading etc.
- Multifaceted operator willing to labor, lay pipe, run packers etc.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute tasks accurately.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate operations and ensure project timelines are met.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Work alone on projects that will take creativity and decision making to complete.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks in adverse conditions.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on job location.
- Class 1 license would be an asset.
