We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Painter and Decorator to bring vibrant, durable finishes to a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute design specifications.
- Perform drywall repairs, caulking, and sealing to create smooth surfaces ready for finishing.
- Execute restoration projects by stripping old paint or wallpaper and restoring surfaces to their original condition.
- Use rigging techniques and hand tools safely to access hard-to-reach areas or elevated surfaces.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding project progress or any adjustments needed during the job.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in painting and decorating tasks.
- Knowledge of drywall installation, repair, and finishing techniques.
- Experience with restoration work involving surface preparation and refinishing.
- Skilled in construction painting across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with power tools such as sprayers, sanders, drills, and other hand tools used in painting projects.
- Competence in rigging procedures necessary for working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
