Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team at Sawaya Mirza Developments. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales and design skills, with the ability to create customized kitchen solutions that meet clients’ needs and preferences. This role involves working closely with clients to develop innovative designs, manage projects from conception to completion, and provide exceptional customer service. Experience with CAD software, renovation projects, and high-end sales is highly desirable. The Kitchen Designer will play a key role in enhancing customer experience and driving sales through effective product demonstrations and upselling techniques.
Duties
- Consult with clients to understand their kitchen remodeling needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Create detailed kitchen layouts and designs using SketchUp, CAD, or other design tools.
- Present design concepts to clients through product demos, visual renderings, and sample displays.
- Assist customers in selecting materials, finishes, appliances, and accessories that align with their vision.
- Manage the sales process including inside sales, outside sales, upselling, and negotiation to maximize revenue.
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and account management efficiently and accurately.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and installation teams during renovation or construction projects.
- Maintain organized showroom displays through merchandising and product placement strategies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales or inside/outside sales roles within home improvement or renovation industries.
- Strong background in kitchen design or cabinetry with proficiency in 2020, SketchUp or CAD software.
- Knowledge of renovation processes, construction experience, or related fields is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and upsell products or services.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and account management tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and project coordination.
- Experience in high-end sales environments or luxury retail settings is preferred.
