Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a direct hire opportunity in Scarborough, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced assembly professional who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, reading technical drawings, troubleshooting equipment, and contributing to the build of quality machinery and tooling.
The Mechanical Assembler will work in a production-focused manufacturing environment where accuracy, safety, teamwork, and on-time delivery are essential. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble machinery, equipment, tooling, sub-assemblies, and main machine assemblies using blueprints, bills of material, travelers, and assembly drawings.
- Operate hand tools, portable power tools, measuring tools, forklifts, and cranes as required to complete assembly work safely and accurately.
- Troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues, identify problems, and communicate concerns or improvement recommendations to supervisors or engineering.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications, quality standards, and drawing requirements.
- Maintain organized work areas, plan daily workflow, track priorities, and complete labour sheets with accurate time allocation.
- Follow all plant safety rules, lockout procedures, PPE requirements, pre-use inspections, and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $47,000 to $48,000 per year.
