Job Summary
Rennie Equipment Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in a full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding steel components according to detailed drawings and specifications. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details
- Perform welding and fabrication of structural and custom steel components
- Operate overhead cranes safely and correctly
- Perform proper crane rigging and load handling
- Use power tools and shop equipment safely and effectively
- Measure, layout, and inspect work using calipers, tape measures, squares, and other precision tools
- Fit, tack, weld, and finish components to specification
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow company safety procedures
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience operating overhead cranes
- Knowledge of proper rigging practices
- Proficient with power tools and fabrication equipment
- Must have own tools required for the position (welder/fabricator tools)
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
