Eddie's Equipment Repairs Ltd. is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team. We service a wide range of trucks, trailers, and equipment for customers throughout the Comox Valley and surrounding areas.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and can work independently while contributing to a strong team environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air system issues
- Complete accurate work orders and repair documentation
- Ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Experience working on heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (required)
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license considered an asset
- Own tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CVIP experience considered an asset
- Red Seal Certification preferred, but experienced apprentices are encouraged to apply
