Volunteer Board Member – Haldimand Norfolk Community Senior Support Services

Haldimand-Norfolk Community Senior Support Services (H-NCSSS) is seeking community-minded professionals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.
For more than 35 years, H-NCSSS has supported older adults, caregivers and adults living with disabilities throughout Haldimand and Norfolk through a wide range of community-based programs and services.
The Opportunity
As a Board member, you will provide strategic leadership and governance oversight, helping guide the direction, sustainability and accountability of the organization. Board members work collaboratively with fellow Directors and the Executive Director while maintaining a clear distinction between governance and day-to-day operations.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in areas such as:
- Business and community leadership
- Finance or accounting
- Law
- Healthcare or social services
- Human resources
- Governance
- Communications, marketing or fundraising
Commitment
Board members are generally expected to:
- Attend one Board meeting per month, approximately two hours, in person or virtually
- Review meeting materials in advance and actively participate in discussions
- Contribute professional knowledge and perspective to strategic decision-making
- Support the mission, strategic priorities and long-term sustainability of H-NCSSS
