Job Profile: Registered Nurse - MLX
Hines Health Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN with a passion for critical care and emergency response. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in industrial emergency medicine.
Join our Emergency Medical Team at Syncrude’s MLX site, working alongside Suncor’s elite firefighter team. This dynamic role places you at the forefront of industrial emergency response and fosters collaboration with multidisciplinary first responders.
You’ll provide immediate on-site emergency care and coordinate safe medical transport when needed—making a tangible difference where it matters most.
Location & Schedule:
- Syncrude MLX site
- 14/14 rotation, camp-based
- Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) or Bus-in/Bus-out (BIBO) from Edmonton or Calgary
Compensation: CA$50.00 - CA$65.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
· Deliver high-quality, professional emergency medical care to injured or ill workers on-site.
· Evaluate and manage patient conditions, determining care or transport needs.
· Operate under full ACP scope of practice, adhering to medical control guidelines and protocols.
· Collaborate with Suncor fire personnel in emergency planning, simulation, and incident response.
· Maintain clinical documentation and support ongoing site safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Emergency/Acute Care/Occupational Health setting or equivalent experience
· Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Nursing program
· Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
· Current ACLS and ITLS
· Safety certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS, First Aid, and Common Safety Orientation as asset.
· Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
· Experience working in collaboration with industrial fire teams.
· Familiarity with Alberta Health Services EMS Medical Control Protocols.
· Oil & gas or large-scale industrial worksite experience.
