Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new clients and expand existing accounts within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Manage customer relationships through effective communication, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements with clients and carriers to optimize profitability and service quality.
- Coordinate daily operations related to freight movement, including scheduling, tracking, and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize data entry systems such as AVAAL for order processing, shipment tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and operational metrics for analysis and forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal teams on supply chain planning, capacity management, and service improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements within logistics workflows to increase efficiency.
- Support inside sales efforts by providing timely quotes, responding to inquiries, and facilitating contract renewals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in account management within the freight or logistics industry; B2B sales background preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes, freight management, and 3PL operations.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and data entry systems such as AVAAL.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sales management practices and inside sales techniques.
- Ability to analyze data for decision-making and operational improvements.
- Prior experience with account management and sales in transportation or supply chain sectors is highly desirable.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
