As a Team Leader, you do more than run a shift — you set the tone. You’ll motivate your crew, keep the store running smoothly, and create memorable guest experiences through confident product recommendations and hospitality. This role is a hands‑on leadership step for people who want to grow their management skills and deepen their cannabis expertise.
What You’ll Do
Shift Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and coach a shift team of up to 4 crew members.
- Run shift briefings, set clear expectations, and model WE Store culture.
- Mentor colleagues on product knowledge, guest service, and sales skills.
Guest Experience
- Deliver warm, educational, hospitality‑driven service on every shift.
- Confidently recommend OCS products and help guests find the right fit.
- Maintain store presentation, merchandising, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Operations and Sales
- Handle cash, complete transactions accurately, and support daily store operations.
- Support inventory receiving and basic reconciliation tasks.
- Help execute store promotions, activations, and community events.
Brand and Community
- Represent The WE Store brand with authenticity and professionalism.
- Support local engagement and store activations that build community connection.
What You Bring
- High‑energy, outgoing personality with a people‑first approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience; comfortable leading a small team.
- Solid knowledge of Ontario’s legal cannabis market and OCS products.
- Genuine passion for helping guests and growing in retail leadership.
- Comfortable with Apple/iOS systems.
Nice to have: Sales and cash‑handling experience; social media savvy.
Requirements
- CannSell certification (required before start date).
- Valid Class G driver’s licence and clean 3‑year abstract.
- Able to safely complete delivery orders.
- Criminal background check.
- 25+ years old.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience
- Must have: 1 year customer service in the cannabis industry as a Budtender.
- Preferred: 2 years supervising and developing staff.
Compensation and Perks
- Hourly pay: CA$18.25 – CA$19.25.
