Behavioural Interventionist
Successful candidates will be hired directly by the family. The process involves a phone call with the BC, a virtual meeting with the family, and then meeting the child prior to being hired and working 1:1 with them.
West Maple Ridge at 2:30-7:00pm any one day between Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
-Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to address behavioural challenges
-Provide direct behavioural support and intervention to client in the home
-Be able to play, be creative, and have fun with a leaner
-Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and treatment
-Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions and progress
Experience:
-At least 1 years prior experience worth with or supporting children working a school, as a tutor, as a BI or other contexts
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Willingness to learn
-Be at least 19 years of age
-Be able to provide a clear criminal record check
-Be able to provide 2 references to indicate reliability and goodness of fit for this role
-Previous experience with ADHD and intellectual disability an asset but not required.
Training Provided, as needed and related to:
-Knowledge of behaviour analysis principles and techniques
-Relevant intervention strategies through behaviour skills training related to the learner

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help the learner develop social intelligence, emotional regulation and executive functioning skills, with ongoing training provided by a RASP-A Behaviour Consultant, supervised by a BCBA.
Payment will be through the Autism Funding Unit. This role is a self-employed role.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
