Paralegal – Legal Admin Government of Alberta Contract
Salary: $35-$38/hr (depending on the level of skill and ability)
Location: Central Calgary
Temporary Contract - 4-6 month Contract with possibility for extension
Post secondary education in the area of Legal/Paralegal as well as 2-3 years exp specifically working in the area of Guardianships and Trusteeship applications is an absolute must; reviewing paperwork, strong computer skills, ability to interpret and explain the processes of Guardianship and Trusteeships in the Province of Alberta. Background in social work, human services or related field is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
RECEPTION
- handling a range of calls from shareholder/clients
- As required, have clients fill out the applicable office reporting form.
- .Attention to detail of legal documents
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Revieiwing of all Guardianship and Trusteeship applications put forth to the Government of Alberta
- Prepare a variety of time sensitive, confidential Court reports, routine correspondence and related documents relative to guardianship and trusteeship
- Maintain client files pursuant to guidelines including opening and closing.
- Storage and archiving files and office administrative records
