Qualifications – Dermatology & Infusion Clinic – St. John’s, Newfoundland
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL)
- Minimum 2–4 years of infusion and dermatology experience or equivalent preferred
- Triaging patients, injecting biologics, assessing patients, delegated acts (suture removal, biopsy's, Kenalog injections, cryotherapy etc.) required
- CPR/First Aid Certificate required
- Experience working in dermatology is highly desirable
- Experience working in IBD, rheumatology, neurology, or oncology considered an asset
- Experience in critical care, emergency, or acute care settings is a strong asset
- Ability to confidently administer IM and SC medications
- Ability to confidently provide patient education, including self-injection training
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a larger remote team
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset

Responsibilities:
Licensed Practical Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Administering infusion therapies, IM injections, and SC medications safely and effectively
- Providing patient education and support regarding medications and self-injection techniques
- Monitoring and documenting patient responses to treatments and escalating concerns as required
- Supporting dermatology services, including phototherapy treatments
- Collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with clinic and healthcare standards
- Managing a high-volume patient environment with professionalism and efficiency
Note: Duties may vary slightly depending on clinic operations and patient volume, with additional guidance provided during orientation.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant Canadian nursing and infusion experience preferred
- Triaging patients, injecting biologics, assessing patients, delegated acts (suture removal, biopsy's, Kenalog injections, cryotherapy etc.) required
- Experience working in dermatology or infusion clinics strongly preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is considered an asset
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability when supporting a high patient volume (approximately 55 patients per day)
