Volunteer Graphic Designer
Overview
We are seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphic Designer to join our team. You will create visually engaging digital and print materials that support our brand, marketing initiatives, and community impact.
This is a volunteer position and is unpaid. It is well suited to a designer looking to strengthen their portfolio, gain collaborative experience, and contribute to meaningful creative projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop visual concepts for branding, marketing campaigns, social media, and print materials.
- Design logos, icons, graphics, and other brand assets that communicate a clear and consistent identity.
- Create UI designs and wireframes for websites and mobile applications.
- Produce motion graphics and simple animations for multimedia and promotional content.
- Collaborate with marketing and project teams to create assets that support communications goals.
- Maintain consistency in typography, colour, visual hierarchy, and overall brand style.
- Present design concepts clearly, incorporate feedback, and revise work as needed.
- Stay informed about current design trends, UI/UX practices, and emerging creative tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio demonstrating graphic design, branding, digital content, logo design, UI/UX, or motion graphics work.
- Proficiency in relevant design tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Figma, Sketch, CorelDRAW, or InVision.
- Understanding of typography, colour theory, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
- Experience creating content for social media, marketing campaigns, websites, or print materials.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, or web design is an asset, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design choices clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with a team.
