We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant in our busy Killam Office. Experience in real estate, wills & estates is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Duties will include:
- Preparing documents for sale, purchase and mortgage transactions
- Preparing Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Personal Directives;
- Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Administration
- Answering phones, booking appointments and greeting clients
- Correspondence with clients, lenders, brokers and lawyers
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail for proofreading documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary based on experience
