About Moss Boss: Moss Boss is an exterior cleaning company serving the Greater Victoria area, with jobs occasionally taking us up to Duncan and out past Sooke. We handle pressure washing, soft washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and roof/moss treatment for residential and commercial customers. We're a small, hands-on crew, and we train our people properly rather than throwing them in the deep end.
About the Role: This is a hands-on labourer role supporting our cleaning crews on-site. You'll start with the fundamentals - equipment set-up, safe ladder work, and the basics of pressure washing - and build up to techniques like soft washing and chemical application through on-the-job training. It's casual/on-call to start, with the potential to grow into full-time hours for the right person.
What You'll Do:
- Perform pressure washing, soft washing, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and roof/moss treatment at customer properties
- Set up, operate, and break down cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, ladders, and extension poles
- Safely mix and apply cleaning solutions and chemicals, following training and safety guidelines
- Load and unload equipment and supplies, and help keep the vehicle and gear organized
- Work safely at heights and on ladders, and follow all site safety protocols
- Represent Moss Boss professionally with customers on-site
What We're Looking For:
Required - a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, comfort working outdoors in all types of weather, the ability to lift and carry equipment (up to ~50 lbs), climb and work safely on ladders, and stand/bend for extended periods, and a reliable, punctual, safety-conscious attitude with a willingness to learn.
Preferred - previous experience in exterior cleaning, landscaping, construction, or similar physical/outdoor work, experience operating pressure washing equipment, and comfort talking with customers on-site.
Pay & Schedule: $22.50-$30/hour, based on experience. Casual/on-call to start, with the potential to grow into full-time hours. Ongoing work, starting immediately. On-the-job training provided on all methods and techniques, including safe chemical application.
