Dunwald and Fleming's civil construction and underground utilities division specializes in shallow utility installation, including storm, sanitary, sewer, gas, and HDPE systems. We are currently hiring for General Labourers for a project based out of Macklin, Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Foreman and follow verbal and written instructions while working effectively as part of a crew
- Assist operators and pipe crews with daily construction activities as required
- Perform general site clean-up, act as a spotter, and help maintain a safe and organized worksite
- Handle, move, and organize materials and equipment on site
- Use tools and equipment as required to complete assigned tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and safe work practices at all time
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, arrive on site and being ready to work on time
- Experience in construction, HDD, utilities and pipeline work, or HDPE pipe fusing is considered an asset
Requirements:
- Introductory knowledge related to shallow utility industry is considered an asset
- Entry-level position, typically suited for individuals with less than one year of experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a minimum of three years of insurable driving history (insurance proof required)
- Must have Ground Disturbance Level II course (online or in-class)
- Work extended hours, including 10+ hour days depending on project demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Preference will be given to candidates with valid safety tickets (CSTS-2020, PCST, WHMIS, First Aid, Confined Space)
- Ability to work safely and follow all site procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
