We are seeking a skilled and motivated G1 Licensed Gas HVAC Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across various commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, system efficiency, and safety compliance. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including ductwork, thermostats, compressors, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately execute system installations and repairs.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as drainage lines and water supply connections.
- Utilize welding techniques for pipe fitting and system fabrication when necessary.
- Conduct boiler maintenance and repairs to ensure safe operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
- Assist with appliance repair related to HVAC components or associated systems as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC journeyman or mechanic with a strong background in plumbing, welding, boiler systems, or related fields.
- Valid journeyman license or certification in HVAC or mechanical trades preferred.
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and system blueprints essential for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including construction sites or service calls.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
