Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment - Tractors include Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner and International trucks, and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Provide excellent internal / external customer service by addressing driver concerns and answering questions
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with and repairing heavy duty equipment
- Familiarity and exposure to Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner and International considered a strong asset - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Summary
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be essential in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and machinery. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, your role requires strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with power tools and heavy lifting. You will utilize your core skills to perform maintenance tasks while leveraging premium skills in welding and working with industrial equipment. Your ability to interpret schematics and provide excellent customer service will further enhance our operations.
