Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant/ Office admin to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans, preparing patients for therapy sessions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for recovery. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic clinical setting, contributing directly to patient rehabilitation and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of therapy equipment and treatment areas in compliance with health standards
- Provide compassionate patient care, including helping patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
This position is integral to supporting effective patient recovery processes while providing valuable hands-on experience in a clinical environment.
- Greet visitors and clients at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and JANE
- Handle filing, document management, and record keeping efficiently
- Assist with appointment scheduling and calendar management
- Provide customer support via phone and in person, ensuring excellent service
Experience
- Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory; relevant internship or clinical experience is advantageous
- Experience working in acute care settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices is a plus
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
