Strength and Conditioning Coaches at PSP are energetic, athlete centered and passionate about lifelong learning and LTAD.
You will be expected to assist in the planning and execution of training sessions for individual team and small group clients, oversee the creation and execution of business initiatives, keep up to date on current trends and research within the athlete development and greater fitness industry and be a champion of the holistic approach to athlete development Prototype Sports Performance values.
We are looking for a positive, personable, highly qualified, and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach who has:
- A 3 or 4 year university degree in kinesiology, physical health and education, or related field.
-A knowledge and competency performing and coaching all major lifts; and prior knowledge of and ability to learn more advanced lifting techniques.
- A minimum of 1 year coaching experience
- CSCS designation from the NSCA
-An advanced understanding of exercise prescription, programming for injury prevention and high performance.
-A dedication to ongoing learning and education
- Knowledge in other areas of fitness and health such as: nutrition, strength training, sprinting, rehabilitation, etc.
- Personal trainer liability insurance (2 million minimum)
- Valid CPR and First Aid
- Flexibility, in terms of availability for training clients (mornings, weeknights and weekends)
- Dedication to their personal health and fitness
- Are professional, responsible, energetic, personable, self-motivated and can work independently
- Also, excellent communication and customer service skills
