Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and attentive Server to join our dynamic team at Busan Korean Cuisine. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all our patrons. Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, taking orders accurately using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Clear, clean, and organize dining tables, dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently to ensure a fast turnover.
- Ensure used dishes and cups are safely transferred to the dishwashing area and organized properly.
- Upsell menu items and introduce Korean cuisine options to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately through proper cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed during food handling and serving.
- Assist with basic food/side-dish preparation when needed to support kitchen staff and deliver timely service.
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management and multitasking skills during busy hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sanitizing tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
Training & Employment Terms
- Training Period & Tips: Please note that tips are not allocated during the training period.
- Duration of Training: The length of the training period depends entirely on individual performance. The faster you learn and master the duties, the shorter your training period will be.
- Probationary Limit: Candidates must fully learn and successfully perform all required server duties within 2 months. If the duties are not mastered within this 2-month period, employment cannot be continued.

- Paid Meal Breaks: We provide a 10 to 15-minute meal break with staff meals included. This meal break is fully paid and included in your hourly wage.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Legal Status: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid Work Permit).
- Certification: ProServe certification is required (or must be obtained upon hire).
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required (We provide full training!).
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine focus on guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order calculations.
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during rush periods.
- Good communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a team-player attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Korean cuisine or interest in Korean food culture is a significant plus.
