Responsibilities:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of operational tasks. This position works closely with Operations Leaders, who delegate duties and review work progress to ensure it meets established standards, specifications, safety requirements, cost-efficiency expectations, and overall contract compliance. This requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate effectively with various departments, and implement processes that enhance productivity and efficiency. As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistical aspects of our operations, coordinating with team members to ensure deadlines are met, and providing support to senior management. Your ability to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions will be key to your success in this role. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and contributing to the development of operational strategies. This role is well-suited to a proactive problem-solver with a passion for optimizing processes and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Liaise with various departments to support a seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Oversee worksite safety training and development, including tracking, scheduling, and coordinating required courses for Operations staff.
- Assist with the development of schedules and logistics for operational work, including creating and updating schedules for winter operations and other regularly scheduled or planned activities.
- Conduct and/or oversee site safety orientations for clients.
- Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and help implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies and policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Provide support to senior management in planning and executing special projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
- Manage annual performance review process including supporting leadership with employee performance review action plans.
- Enhance employee morale, productivity, and culture through the creation, promotion, and implementation of innovative strategies that encourage commitment, motivation, and engagement of employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Must have sound knowledge of the BC Employment Standards/ESA and Human Rights Code.
- Strong understanding of performance management principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
