The Role
As Lead Labourer, you'll be a key member of our field team and will work directly with company ownership to execute projects to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and working alongside labour crews
- Installing exterior building systems
- Reading drawings and interpreting construction details
- Measuring and laying out work
- ACM / aluminum metal panel installation
- Insulated metal panel (IMP) installation
- Cement fibreboard installation
- Exterior metal cladding and interior liner systems
- Steel siding and metal panel systems
- Exterior trims and flashing
- Window and door installation
- Metal roofing systems
- Material handling and site organization
- Maintaining project pace and productivity
- Quality control and identifying deficiencies
- Supporting site safety requirements
- Communicating project issues to ownership
- Helping train and develop other team members

We Want Someone Who Is Already Excellent
This position is for someone who:
- Has significant experience in exterior construction
- Is highly competent on the tools
- Can confidently read construction drawings
- Can perform accurate measurements and layouts
- Has strong experience with ACM, IMPs, siding, flashing and exterior finishing
- Can independently solve field problems
- Has experience leading crews or taking responsibility on site
- Understands that mistakes and callbacks cost the company money
- Takes personal pride in the finished product
- Doesn't need to be micromanaged
- Shows up prepared and ready to work
- Naturally takes ownership when something needs to get done
