THE ROLE:
The Financial Analyst provides analytical and administrative support to the Finance, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams at First Capital. This role is responsible for assisting with daily cash management, financing activities, investor relations reporting, and documentation processes that ensure financial accuracy and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail, organization, and collaboration across multiple departments, including Accounting, Legal, and Treasury.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Treasury

Assist in daily cash management and other treasury functions.

Monitor corporate bank accounts (including opening and closing bank accounts).

Prepare and process wires, and code invoices.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables related to Treasury.

Prepare loan renewal notices by coordinating signatures internally and delivering to external parties.

Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Financing
-
Assist with the Financing process (equity, mortgages, unsecured debentures, credit facilities, etc).

Coordinate and liaise with various departments such as Accounting and Legal on administrative financing matters such as AML/KYC and ownership structures.

Maintain and organize documents and electronic files.
Investor Relations

Monitor and track changes to company units and unitholders.

Complete retail REIT peer research, for industry comparison.
WHAT YOU BRING:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a financial, accounting, or treasury role, preferably within a public company.

Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and proficiency in Excel.

Ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written format.

Ability to allocate time effectively, work well under pressure, and manage tight deadlines.

Analytical, willing to challenge the status quo, and open to learning new things.

Commercial real estate experience preferable.
