Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to inspire and educate students in understanding the complexities of Biology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting diverse learners, and promoting scientific curiosity among students.
Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive biology lessons aligned with curriculum standards grade 12
- Create engaging instructional materials and laboratory activities to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback
- Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts in biology
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans and school-wide science initiative
Skills
- Proven classroom experience with the ability to manage diverse student populations effectively
- Strong knowledge of biology, including laboratory techniques and scientific principles
- Experience with tutoring students in biology and related subjects such as math
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support inclusive learning environments
- Excellent communication skills for clear instruction and effective collaboration with staff, students
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster curiosity and critical thinking in science topics
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
