Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, insured and detail-oriented Electrician subcontractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, including industrial, commercial, and renovation sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations. The Electrician will work closely with project managers and other tradespeople to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and control panels.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform wiring, conduit bending, and system testing.
- Conduct inspections of existing electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated electrical components while adhering to safety standards.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to coordinate electrical work efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.

Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Experience as an industrial electrician or in construction environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage wiring and power distribution.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Ability to perform renovations or upgrades on existing electrical systems safely.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
