To be a Driver/Mover on our team, you need a minimum 5 years of prior experience driving a 5-ton, and we'll ask that you submit a Commercial Driver's Abstract during the interview process. Bonus if you have your Air Brakes certification, Q-endorsement on your license.
As each member of the CSS team is cross-functionally trained, you'll do more than just drive! You are a true part of the crew and will participate in various tasks each day. No two days will be the same!
A day may include:
- Loading and unloading material and equipment at a variety of sites
- Wrapping, padding, and securing items in moving truck
- Delivering furniture to client’s sites
- Working and navigating throughout downtown Calgary and the surrounding area
- Working with the crew to move or adjust furniture products
- Loading and moving existing items between buildings
- Multiple pick-ups or deliveries
- Vehicle maintenance and safety procedures to ensure trucks are ready for delivery
Skills you would bring to our team:
- Positive attitude!
- Reliable and trustworthy
- A minimum of 5 years driving experience of 5-ton truck (must be able to verify experience)
- Valid full Class 5 driver’s license, no GDL, and clean driver’s abstract required (no suspensions or violations)
- Experience with strapping and securing loads
- Familiar with office furniture/furniture moves and installations as asset but not a requirement
- Ability to lift and move over 75 lbs.
- Familiar and comfortable navigating downtown and throughout the city, including in various dock locations
- Flexible availability - days, evenings, and weekends
- Handy with tools would be an asset
- Good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure while adhering to deadlines
- Legally able and available to work in Canada

Wage is based on previous experience - $20.00/hour is the starting offered wage for this position with a starting wage to upwards of $27.00 to start being entirely based upon driving experience, as well as your office furniture knowledge.
