Yama Vans is Canada's industry-leading adventure van manufacturer. We specialize in building custom, professionally designed adventure vans that are finely tuned for off-grid, year-round travel. We're looking to add a Materials Handler & Driver to our Supply Chain team.

This is a role built on trust. Production doesn't move unless this job is done well: you'll drive client vans that hold significant monetary value, receive every order that comes through our doors, and maintain the warehouse the entire shop depends on. The work is independent and hands-on — on the road one hour, at the receiving dock the next. When something goes wrong, whether it's a damaged shipment or a scrape in a parking lot, we expect to hear about it from you first.
Experience in warehousing, logistics, or delivery driving is an asset, but it isn't the filter. We hire for reliability, honesty, and attention to detail. The rest can be trained.
As a Materials Handler & Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- All driving — local pickups and dropoffs, vendor runs to fabricators and painters, van pickups and dropoffs from dealerships
- Company van management — keeping the vehicle used for all runs clean, fuelled, and maintained
- Receiving all inbound orders — checking packing slips, doing basic quality control, and flagging any discrepancies right away
- Putaway and organization — getting received goods into their correct warehouse location and keeping the warehouse clean and organized
- Packaging and kitting — protecting items in storage and organizing components to save space
- Build supply checks — monitoring our 2-bin consumables system and reporting what needs to be replenished
- Vendor communication — representing Yama Vans professionally at pickup and dropoff points
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Clean criminal record
- Physically capable — this role involves lifting, loading, standing, and manual labor throughout the day
