Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and possess strong multitasking skills to ensure a positive dining experience for all customers.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely service
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with upselling menu items to increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service operations
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for cashiering and order management
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively
- Basic kitchen experience is advantageous but not required
